Juan Andrade is a Colombian-Chilean screenwriter and director.

He is known for his work as a creative director across artistic, cultural, and commercial projects. Through his production company, AJ Films, he brings the tools of screenwriting and cinema into the narrative universe of brands.

He has received several awards, including: Winner of the 9th Screenwriting Lab at the Cali International Film Festival for his comedy feature "Barista" (2023). Winner of the 3rd Cuarto de Escritores de Cali call —organized by the Economic Development Office of the Mayor's Office of Cali, in partnership with the Bibliotec Foundation and the Algo en Común Foundation— where he served as head writer on the series "Fall In Loop" (2022). Winner of the RiT – Rooted in Trust award from Internews in the United States for his transmedia documentary "COVID-EO" (2021). Winner of the Narrativas en Negro y Blanco award from Colombia's Ministry of Culture in the Best Written Chronicle category for "Operación Pupo" (2018).

In the advertising world, Juan has directed campaigns for brands such as Bancolombia, Pharmaderm, and Fratelli. His work has made him a leading audiovisual voice in southern Colombia, directing projects for the region's most prominent brands and bringing a cinematic eye to markets where one had never existed.
