Juan Andrade is a screenwriter and director. Graduated from Film and Television in Unitec in Bogotá, Colombia with a Master in Screenwriting for Film and Television from the Pontifical University of Salamanca, Spain.

His writing, focused on highlighting the intelligence of Pastuso humor, is far removed from the comedy paradigms in Colombia. According to him, it moves away because Pasto is very far away.

Among his achievements are: Winner of the Script Lab of the Cali International Film Festival with his comedy feature film “Barista” (2023). Winner III Cali Writer's Room, organized by the Economic Development Secretariat of the Cali Mayor's Office in alliance with the Bibliotec Foundation and the Algo en Común Foundation, where he developed the series “Fall In Loop” (2022). Winner of the RiT - Rooted in Trust award from Internews in the United States with his transmedia documentary “COVID-EO” (2021). Winner of the Black and White Narratives award from the Ministry of Culture of Colombia in the Best Written Chronicle category with “Operación Pupo” (2018).
